How reliable is the domain traffic information?

Domain traffic information is counted by our code embedded on the domain information page or provided by the parking system if the domain is parked. This information should well reflect the domain traffic, however, there may be slight differences among the various traffic counting means.

If a domain is not parked or directed to a sale offer, the domain traffic may not be counted. In that case, the traffic will not be visible in the domain statistics presented in the sale offer.

Some sellers may artificially inflate the domain traffic, for example by buying clicks or generating artificial traffic in another way. If you buy a domain for traffic, view the traffic statistics in the few past months and check for sudden traffic jumps. Also check the traffic sources, i.e. the countries and websites that generate the most traffic.
