How does auction snipe (bid scheduling) in an auction work?
Scheduling bids in an auction allow you to place bids when you do not have access to a computer at the end of an auction. This allows you to take part in more auctions by scheduling your bids in advance.
By scheduling bids, you can enter a list of bids to be placed at the end of the auction if your previous offer is overbid. So you don't have to bid the highest amount right away, but you can enter intermediate bids, which will be placed until you win the auction. This way you will pay less for the domain you will have purchased.
For example, if you are currently winning an auction by bidding 100 PLN, you can schedule further bids of 150 and 200 PLN. If another user outbids you by offering 170 PLN, we will automatically place a bid of 200 PLN on your behalf to ensure you win the auction.
Scheduled bids are not placed immediately, but only a few minutes before the end of the auction. This makes other bidders have less time to outbid your offers. Bids are always placed at the lowest level and that ensures you’ll win the auction.
