What does the message "The name server is not configured to handle the domain" mean?

If you are directing a domain to new DNS servers, they must be correctly configured to support that domain. If DNS servers are not configured correctly, the domain will not work properly after changing the DNS.

For most domains, you can specify new DNS servers, even if they have not been configured correctly before. This allows you, first to change the delegation of the domain, and then take care of configuring the DNS servers. However, some domain registries (.de, .dk, .gr, .it, .lu or .si) require DNS servers to be configured before you direct the domain to them. If one of the entered DNS servers does not support your domain correctly, you will get the above message.

To configure DNS servers correctly, contact the company, in which these servers are located.
