What do the different types of redirection mean?

When redirecting a domain, you can use different types of redirection. Here are the differences between them:

Immediate redirection consists in directing the user to another web address. After typing a domain name in the web browser, the user will notice that the address in the browser bar changes to the destination address so that they could see that they are on another website.

Hidden redirection consists in creating on your web domain a special, invisible frame in which the destination website will be displayed. In this way, once the user enters a web address in the browser bar, the address will not change and the user will have the impression that they are still at your domain. It’s important to remember that some websites contain a special code to detect the display in such a frame. Hidden redirection to such website will work in the same way as an immediate redirection.

301 redirection is a special type of redirection which is important when you register domains for SEO purposes. It is a redirection that bypasses our servers and directs traffic directly to the destination address. This way, the power of links leading to your domain is retained. However, when using such redirection, the domain traffic statistics are not counter because the traffic is not routed whtough our server.

Redirection to an IP address is a special type of redirection using an IP address and consists in setting a DNS entry containing the given IP address. The server located at the specified address must be properly configured to operate the domain, otherwise, the redirection will not work. Redirection set in this way allows you to easily redirect all web traffic from the domain, its subdomains, web mail, etc., to a single IP address. If you need a more complex domain configuration, use DNS entries.
