What are DNS servers?
DNS servers are the key items of an Internet domain setup. They store basic information of the domain setup, for example, they indicate which servers are responsible for displaying a website, e-mail handling and other services related to the domain.
If you currently don't plan to create a website with your domain, your domain may be still directed to our default DNS servers: ns1.aftermarket.pl and ns2.aftermarket.pl. These servers ensure proper operation of the domain in many different and typical situations:
Displaying a default website (so-called "blank site") informing that the domain has been registered.
Redirecting a domain to an auction or a sale offer if you put up a domain for sale on our marketplace.
Redirecting the traffic from a domain to another Internet address.
Displaying a parking page if you decide to add a domain to the parking service.
Creating custom DNS entries.
If you want to create your own website or email account with your domain, the hosting service provider has to provide you with information about DNS servers, to which the domain should be directed. For example, if you buy a hosting account at Aftermarket.pl, the correct DNS servers are: ns1.aftermarket.hosting and ns2.aftermarket.hosting. The website will work properly only after the domain is directed to the appropriate DNS servers.
How to direct a domain to different DNS servers?
If you register multiple Internet domains and then you direct them to different DNS servers, you can set these servers as default. From now on, all newly registered domains will be redirected to the servers that you’ve selected as default.
