Which operations require authorization?

By default, the following operations require additional authorization in your account:

  • Retrieving a domain AuthInfo code.

  • Pushing a domain to another account.

  • Deleting a domain.

The following operations always require additional authorization in your account:

  • Changing authorization settings.

  • Changing the authorization requirements.

  • Changing trusted address settings.

  • Changing authorization message settings.

  • Adding an e-mail address.

  • Changing an e-mail address.

  • Deleting an e-mail address.

  • Adding a login.

  • Deleting a login.

  • Adding a mobile phone number.

  • Deleting a mobile phone number.

  • Changing the Registry Lock.

The requirement to authorize these operations prevents you from losing domains if someone gets your account password. You can also enable the authorization requirement for other operations (for example, selling a domain).
